Another B side favorite of mine from Leroy Sibbles, Barrington Llewellyn and Earl Morgan, who as the Heptones recorded prolifically for Coxsone Dodd on-and-off for over a decade; and who knows what unreleased music there is sitting on tape. The thought of hours of unreleased music recorded over the years at Studio 1 holds more promise than is probably apparent, as I believe much of this music is time in abeyance or according to Walter Benjamin, as in traditional Judaism, 'messianic time' - Ilan Gur-Ze’ev reads it thus: "The interpreter seeks his own salvation, as he is in danger of annihilation with the vagueness and the void resulting from current false consensus "the messianic time" bursts into the "now-time." I would say that a form of truth is locked into this body of messianic time which is born from a struggle for knowledge, a moral struggle for the good life and attainment of messianic time through an individuals own consciousness enables him/her to "decide what is the voice of the myth and what is the appearance of the messianic since we are imprisoned in the present where myth is the sole prince of reality".
