Martha Reeves, Rosalind Ashford and Annette Sterling, as Martha & The Vandellas with their fourth release on the Gordy label, #7025. A Holland, Dozier, Holland song Quicksand was their follow up to Heat Wave and shared many of its characteristics but was dynamic and fresh enough (especially that seven beat drum-break near the end) to be a big hit with the newly emerging British Soul music fans.
